X Factor 2012: Gary Barlow donates his Jubilee shoes to charidee!
X Factor judge and Take That singer – and saint in the making – Gary Barlow has donated the shoes he wore for the Queen’s Jubilee concert to quite liderally raise money for charidee group, The Horder Centre.
The shoes, which are a size 10 and made by Oliver Sweeney, have been signed on the sole by Gary, and the words to charity track Sing are also printed on them…
Which has to see him at least a shoe in for that knighthood. See what I did there? I’m wasted on you people ![]()
Anyway, The Horder Centre is now selling the shoes via eBay and as part of their Celebrity Shoe Auction. So far, there have been 450 bids and the price is at £470 with just over a week to go until the auction ends…
Here’s what the auction’s listing reads…
Gary Barlow has kindly donated these shoes to our “Celebrity Shoe Auction” that were specially made for the Jubilee 2012 celebrations. One shoe is signed ‘Love Gary’ and the other shoe is inscribed with a 2012 Union Jack and the first lines of the Jubilee song ‘ Sing’. Inscription reads ‘ Some words they can’t be spoken only song, so here a thousand voices shouting love’.
Includes signed letter of authenticity and Oliver Sweeney shoebox and shoebags.
Help raise vital funds for The Horder Centre by taking part in our Ebay Celebrity Shoe Auction! We have managed to secure shoes from famous authors, sports stars and local celebrities and we are auctioning off these shoes for charity! All money raised will help to create several new woodland trails which will be built in the hospital grounds. One of the trails will be adapted for the disabled and another will have outdoor gym equipment and both will be open, not only to patients, but to local schools and the community.
