It seems like yesterday’s X Factor auditions have produced more than a few possible finalists, proving that Scotland really does have talent.

As well as returning favourite Jade Richards, another female singer to impress the judges was hopeful R&B performer Ruby Smith.

The talented songstress admitted that she has singing from a very young age at church events and started playing piano at the age of 8. Yesterday, when she got the chance to sing for Gary Barlow, Tulisa, Louis Walsh and guest judge Anastacia, she first sang Fast Car by Tracy Chapman but was then asked to perform a second track.

After her second number, the judges erupted in applause for Ruby and she got a standing ovation from all four panel members.

Louis Walsh thought she could be ‘the new Emeli Sande’, while Gary Barlow and Anastacia enjoyed her musicianship and her original style of singing.

Listen to Ruby sing ‘Fast Car’ below and tell us if you think she deserves a place in bootcamp.

Lies! Holly Drummond has just said on facebook that she wasn’t there nevermind ‘blew away’ Gary Barlow.
