X Factor 2012: GMD3, Triple J, From Above, Duke & Times Red make it through the 1st stage of bootcamp!

One of our favourite parts of tonight’s X Factor show, was wtahcing the bands going head to head.

It was a little like The Voice battle rounds earlier this year and this evening, as the bootcamp stage of the ITV show was televised for the first time, the judges told the groups that they would have to perform with one of their rival bands and somehow, find a way to shine and stand out.

First up were two of the most memorable boybands of the series so far ‘GMD3’ and ‘Triple J’/. They enjoyed a sing off to Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5 and thankfully, both groups were invited back for the next day’s challenge.

Next to the stage were girl groups ‘From Above’ and ‘Voxe’ and they performed Stronger by Kelly Clarkson for the panel. From Above were sent through to the next bootcamp stage but unfortunately, Voxe weren’t lucky enough to follow and were eliminated from the competition.

We were slightly worried when we realised that another two of our favourite acts ‘Duke’ and ‘Times Red’ would be going head to head and singing Crazy in Love by Beyonce. However, both groups did well enough to be granted a place in the next round by Gary Barlow, Tulisa, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh.

Their performances caused Tulisa to rave:

‘This is the strongest year ever for the groups.’

We would have to agree! What did you think of GMD3, Triple J, From Above, Duke & Times Red’s performances tonight? Leave your comments below….

Meanwhile, as we prepare for the judges houses episodes of the show to air next weekend, Unreality TV have put together out predictions for his year’s X Factor final 24. Have a look and tell us if you agree!
