Rita Ora, 21, blasted onto the music scene in 2012 with number one hit, RIP, she is becoming one of the hottest stars of 2012. She joined Gary, Tulisa and Louis at the X Factor London auditions this year as a guest judge.

What was is it like to be a Guest Judge on The X Factor?

Amazing!! I feel like I’m practically on the same page as the contestants. I know how hard it is so I just wanted to advise and talk to them about what I honestly thought.

The way I saw it was that I had three minutes to make a good first impression to a few very powerful music industry people like RocNation in order for me to get signed, and The X Factor contestants have a few minutes to make a good first impression on the Judges and the audience. It’s a lot of pressure so I get where they are coming from.

It was a great day and I even saw someone from my secondary school auditioning which was completely random!

What were the highs/lows of the day?

Telling people they aren’t ready to go through is a bit of a low, especially when they really believe they are ready. The highs are definitely being surprised
by people who at a first glance you’re not sure about and then when they sing you are like ‘wow’!

What was it like working with the other Judges?

It was great! They all have different experiences and different ways that they can contribute and we can even learn from each other.

Do you think you saw anybody with The X Factor on the day?

Yes there was a boy that I had to stand up and clap for as he was amazing. He was so soulful that I felt like he got me. Also he remixed R.I.P into his audition!
