X Factor 2012: Jade Ellis admits she knew she was a lesbian after she had her daughter
Jade Ellis has revealed that after the birth of her daughter, she realised she was not meant to be in a relationship with a man.
The 25 year old singer has shot to fame on The X Factor, making it through auditions and bootcamp and into the final six girls for judges houses. Last week she admitted that while most of the girls were ogling Gary Barlow in Liverpool, her eyes were firmly fixed on former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.
Jade is mum to six year old Caiden and is living happily with her long term partner Heva and in a new interview she has revealed that she finally admitted her sexuality and came out when her child was just five months old.
‘I had Caiden when I was going through a phase where I didn’t really know where I was in life,’ Jade told Now. She added:
‘But I knew I wasn’t meant to be with a man.”
It was meeting Heva that set things straight in Elis’ mind and she continued:
‘Five months after I had my daughter, me and Heva just looked at each other and knew.
‘And ever since then, we’ve been happily together.’
Jade and Heva are incredibly happy, however that seems to be despite a lot of people around them and the talented singer confessed that she has faced more than her fair share of taunting and abuse in her local area.
‘I’ve walked to the shops before and people have shouted at me and Caiden,’ she continued.
‘I can brush it off, but it isn’t nice in front of my daughter.’
Jade has made it as far as Tulisa’s judges houses and will be seen this weekend singing her heart out for the former N-Duba star and her celebrity assistant Tinie Tempah.
The girls travelled to the tropical island of St Lucia to record their final tryouts and on Sunday night viewers will discover if Jade did enough to make it through to the live shows.
We have our fingers, our toes and even our eyes crossed that she makes it, because Ms Ellis is definitely one of the strongest singers on the series this year.
Meanwhile, as we prepare for the judges houses episodes of the show to air next weekend, Unreality TV have put together out predictions for his year’s X Factor final 12. Have a look and tell us if you agree!

Its good to see Jade Ellis going forward in X factor and I am routing for her to win as she has a “Gabrielle” style voice and really like it.
What I don’t like, is when the media go portraying their personal life. What on earth as her sexual orientation got to do with the competition.
Unless shes representing the voice of a foundation or support group for gay people and wants to encourage people to be confident no matter what sexual orientation they have, I really think this story is irrelevant to the show.
and quite outdated storyline since being open and gay in today’s culture and society is widely accepted.
Next you will be publishing on artists who have mixed-family racial ethnic backgrounds for parents
That sounds dramatic but that’s the realism of this story, try giving us a story like
how did she feel when the crowds stood up cheering
Has she done any music before, underground or otherwise?
How does she find working with Tulissa?
What singing schools did she attend? (Other people might be inspired to want to go there and follow her footsteps and see her as a role model)
But no…
Sad times
The mirror wants to talk about what her sexual preference is … Kinda perverted when you think of it this way isn’t it
Lesbian? what a waste shes amazing looking with her new haircut, a goddess
What do you mean what a waste !?, this makes me so annoyed. just because your a lesbian does not mean you’ve wasted your life, like what the hell, you can still have and do the same as being with a man, its ignorant men like you that make being a lesbian all the better. PATHETIC!
Georgie that was a very defensive reply and rude. The way I read Herman’s post was that it was a waste as she is so beautiful. No harm saying that at all. I think you are nuts to take offence to that.
Herman you are a complete tit.
Whack! Girls stop trying to be different by “becoming a lesbo”, cos u then only get addicted to the attention. U want to be special try a new approach cos’ this one is old and unoriginal what with it being 2012.And why does it always need to be the hottest possible girls. seriously my high school prom queen became a lesbo and many more of the hottest ranked girls i now. I mean don’t get me wrong. There good girls to talk to and come to for comfort and een have a good time with. But guys gotta “pack da bone” baby. Let us be the one’s to treat u right. Cos’ we can.
