Last week Gary Barlow named Jade Ellis as his dark horse of the X Factor this year, so we couldn’t wait to see what she pulled out of the bag for love and heartbreak week.

The mum of one has a fantastically big voice, which handles ballads and emotional numbers really well and we knew that if Tulisa picked the right song for her this evening, she could really shine on the ITV show.

We were not disappointed by Contistavlos’ choice, as Jade really impressed us with her stripped back and emotional version of Amy Winehouse’s Love Is A Losing Game.

She looked amazing in her white, one shouldered, floor length gown and rather than her current and edgy image, she went for a more timeless and classic appearance tonight, which was softer and very pretty.

Jade’s vocals were perfect too and there wasn’t one bad note, one off moment. It was totally flawless.
