X Factor 2012: Jahmene Douglas goes into meltdown at Boot Camp! Is it game over?

The coming weekend’s X Factor shows – which air on both Saturday and Sunday – are of course the first installments from Boot Camp, which this year, took place in Liverpool, given that during the Olympics, there weren’t any hotels with enough rooms for all the hopefuls.

And it seems that we’re in for a few shocks as we see singers who excelled during their auditions breaking down and finding it all very tough going.

One of those is supermarket worker Jahmene Douglas who stunned the judged and the audience when he sang Etta James’ classic At Last during his audition.

Tulisa told him, “When you stepped on the stage you were like a timid little soul and you couldn’t express yourself, but you started expressing yourself the minute you started singing and it was freaking amazing!”

However Jahmene’s hopes of continuing so positively were rocked when, as we’ll see this weekend, he forgets the words to Maroon 5’s hit, Moves Like Jagger…

Becoming increasingly angry with himself, and frustrated by his inability to get the song right, we’ll see Jahmene tearfully telling presenter Dermot O’Leary, “The toughest bit was learning the lyrics to Moves Like Jagger. I didn’t know the lyrics.

“It was an interesting experience, an overwhelming experience…

“I just feel like I’ve let them all down.”

Aww I hope he makes it through – he’s got such a gorgeous voice! Would you be sorry to see him leave the contest at this early stage?

Jahmene has the best voice that ever came out of person’s body and, no matter what happens on this program, the world now knows who he is and what he is capable of so, bootcamp and judges be damned, he is here to stay. In a sense, he needs to leave this pressure cooker and get out onto other media outlets and let the world at large to get a chance to hear his unbelievable voice. Bless you Jahmene. Hang in there son. You’re going to go far and big and there is no rush on to do that. You are the golden goose — not them.
