X Factor 2012: Jahmene Douglas insists contestants aren’t fighting – wants to ‘inspire’ tomorrow
Jahmene Douglas has insisted that the X Factor finalists are all getting along very well.
The former shelf stacker is currently preparing for his first live show tomorrow night and some sources had suggested that the competition was getting fierce already between some of the hopeful acts.
One of the singers or groups will be leaving the series on Sunday’s first results show – and it seems at the minute that the smart money is on MK1 – but Jahmene says they are all coping well with the pressure and getting along like a house on fire.
He told The Swindon Advertiser:
“I think people expect there to be fighting but we are all one big happy family.
“I know that sounds a bit sad but that is how it is.
“We are all just singers who want to do well in this competition.”
It does all sound a bit lovey dovey and we bet that by next week it will all be a different story and the contestants will be ready to pull each other’s hair out but for now, we hope they’re enjoying themselves.
Jahmene has struggled with his nerves and lack of self confidence in previous stages of the ITV show and was seen having a supposed panic attack at bootcamp, because of the pressure on him to impress the judges.
He is trying to ensure he stays a little calmer tomorrow and added:
“I think I have just got to take it step by step and look at the bigger picture to overcome my nerves.
“The live shows is the part where I am confident, I am not looking at it as a competition.
“Singing is where I feel comfortable.”
He tweeted his followers tonight saying:
“It’s the big day tomorrow ! LIVE SHOWS #eek Praying that all the contestants have the strength to do their best #inspire”
“Good Night everyone !!
I hope I can make every one proud ♡’
The X Factor live shows start tomorrow night and the supposed song list for the singers has been leaked online. Check it out and tell us if you think Jahmene can shine.
