Jahmene Douglas has admitted that he desperately needs to make the X Factor final 12.

The Asda shelf stacker wowed the judges at his first audition for the ITV show but messed up at bootcamp and as he attended judges houses earlier this month he confessed that he was feeling the pressure. Jahmene explained:

“I am not confident at all, with any aspect of myself.”

He added:

“Singing is my way of expressing myself because talking is not my strong point at all. I laugh after everything I say, it probably annoys people but I just can’t help it.”

Jahmene did impress Nicole and Ne-Yo at judges houses but they were both worried that his nerves would get the better of him if he reached the live shows.

He insisted that he needs them to give him the chance though and said:

“The X Factor is helping me grow and if I get through it will help me believe in myself a bit more. I need this…I really do need this.”
