X Factor 2012 judges houses: James Arthur, Adam Burridge, Jahmene Douglas shine! (VIDEO)
The boys were the first category to perform on tonight’s X Factor episode and it was a mixed bag of talent.
Nicole Scherzinger and Ne-Yo presided over what was the last performance of the series for at least two of the singers, though their job was made easier by their opulent surroundings in their plush Dubai hotel.
First to the stage was James Arthur, who took on ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ for the famous pair. They seemed to be totally engrossed in his performance and James certainly gave it his all.
It was a very emotional performance and we really felt like we connected with James when he spoke about his insecurities over his looks. We felt he more than proved himself with his vocal.
Afterwards Ne-Yo commented that the hopeful was definitely ‘singing for his life.’ He added:
‘He seems like he doesn’t have a choice. There is a pain there…it’s a real pain. That anxiety can take over and should that happen, it could turn into a negative like that!’
Adam Burridge also made a good impression on the stars, as he sang SOS by Abba. We have loved him since his first audition aired and were delighted when he lived up to his former appearances tonight.
It was great to hear him putting such a twist on the classic song. Nicole commented afterwards that it was the best she has ever seen him perform and we’d have to agree. He certainly made the effort when it mattered.
Jahmene Douglas has been a favourite on the show since the first episode aired back in August and at judges houses, Nic enjoyed his version of Titanium by David Guetta, however she was a little worried about his stage fright.
He admitted:
‘Singing is what I do, talking is not my strong point. Maybe I need to believe in myself a little bit more because I need this, I really need this.’
Ne-Yo seemed to enjoy his stripped version of the hit dance track but told him that his nerves would ‘make or break’ him, adding:
“Don’t let it break you, you’re here because you’re talented. Believe that when you sing.”
He continued:
‘The nerves are literally eating him alive from the inside out!’

Jahmene for sure. If he keeps going with his incredible
voice, his nerves will take care of themselves, and he will settle more and more.
