The X Factor returned to Scotland yesterday and it seems that Glasgow was packed full of talent.

We have already reported that last year’s star of the ITV show Jade Richards returned to the stage, to try her luck and attempt to win a place in bootcamp once more and Belfast singer Jade Collins was also a stand out act for the panel.

One other talented Scot, who sang for Gary Barlow, Tulisa, Louis Walsh and guest judge Anastacia was a 21 year old Glaswegian named Kat Muir.

The brunette beauty suffered from a last minute attack of stage fright and audience members told Unreality TV that she was close to tears before performing Adele’s ‘Rolling In The Deep’ for the panel.

Kat had to receive a last minute pep talk from Tulisa before starting to sing, but when she did, the stars were incredibly supportive and enthusiastioc about her vocal talent. Gary liked the ‘raw and emotional’ nature of her performance, while Louis thought Muir did herself proud.

Check out Kat performing the song below and tell us if you think she deserves a place in bootcamp.

Meanwhile, former Eurovision singer Joseph McCaul also tried out for the ITV show yesterday.

The 27 year old singer represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 in Ukraine, along with his sister Donna. They were not pre-qualified for the final, due to Ireland’s result from the 2004 contest, which meant they took part in the semi-final on 19 May 2005.

They were the first ever Irish act to take part in a Eurovision Song Contest semi-final, but didn’t progress past that stage.
