X Factor 2012: Kelly Rowland wouldn’t come back because Tulisa did!
Kelly Rowland reportedly decided not to come back to the X Factor, because she got confirmation that Tulisa would be back for the 2012 series.
Insiders say that the Destinys Child star was weighing up her options and considering sitting on the judging panel for a second year, however when she heard that it would mean sitting beside the N-Dubz star for another half a year, she decided that all the money just wasn’t worth it!
An ITV source told Heat magazine that Tulisa’s confirmation was the straw that broke Kelly’s back, saying:
‘Kelly had mixed feelings about coming back to The X Factor in the first place, partly because she wants to be in the US and concentrate on her career there.’
‘But when she heard that Tulisa had been confirmed as a judge, it made up her mind that it was right for her to exit the show. It’s no secret that Kelly never really got on with Tulisa.’
Things got frosty between the two ladies, when Tulisa called Misha B a bully on last year’s series of the ITV show. They pretended to make up after the incident, however many backstage sources say things were never the same between the only two females on the panel.
‘Kelly completely fell out with Tulisa,’ the source added, ‘Since then there’s been absolutely no contact with the two. She’s been telling friends that she feels sorry for whoever has to sit next to Tulisa.’
The source also claimed that Simon Cowell wasn’t offering Kelly enough money for a second series and that she wasn’t being granted permission to fly back and forward to America, while she worked on her US music career.
One of the stars tipped to be replacing Kelly, when the X Factor auditions start later this month, is former show judge Dannii Minogue and the source said bosses are so keen to have her back onboard, that they are willing to work around her commitments on Australia’s Got Talent.
‘Producers are desperate to get Dannii back,’ they concluded.

I’d love Dannii back, hope they make it happen
I would love Dannii but I’d rather have Kelly Rowland over Tulisa. I think Tulips is a little naive and she barely has any talent herself so it’s odd that she’s judging or mentoring anyone….the worst person on the show had more talent than Tulisa. BRING KELLY AND DANNII AND SIMON BACK!
Dannii and Kelly together would of been great and I think they would of actually got on, however I don’t want Dannii to return and sit next to Tulisa, it’s a been there done that thing, it’s always best to move on. It’s a shame Kelly left because if im honest she had the bubbly personality out of the new judges last year, Gary and Tulisa were dull if we had to compare, so Kelly gone will be a huge loss unless they find someone with a big personality, especially with the audition stages to keep people glued and interested.
Kelly will be missed, once it returns, who else can put it down!
I don’t like Dannii…she isn’t a great mentor to contestants… she has just been very lucky with her allocations that one of them doesnt need much mentoring, hope they get someone that is a major star! Katy perry or someone similar!
Shame that he’s chosen Tulisa instead of Kelly. I wouldn’t have forgiven her for the Misha B incident either…it was disgraceful. It’ll be great to have Danni back though…better than both of them!
Please have Dannii back!!!!! She should never have left the show in the first place, last series would have been so much better with Louis and Dannii staying on joined by two new judges!
What on earth are they thinking? Having Tulisa back. That thrusting forearm movement to show her tattoo and girl power is so annoying and she cannot be compared to Kelly Rowlands. Kelly’s talent and beauty are far superior.
ah yea should bring back cheryl she was fab and i think her and tulisa would get on great.
