X Factor 2012: Kye Sones shines with I Can’t Make You Love Me – enough for judges houses? (VIDEO)
Kye Sones totally shone on tonight’s episode of The X Factor.
The handsome singer sailed through his initial audition and the first stages of bootcamp, due to his amazing talent and tonight was seen performing at the last bootcamp stage in Liverpool’s Echo Arena.
At first the hopeful was worried about taking to the stage and told producers:
“It sounds like there are a lot of people out there….I just want to do it, I just want to get out there. I’ve been working so hard for 10 – 15 years and I just need a break- I need a break its’ unbelievable. I mean my lucks been awful. So even getting through that first stage, it’s like ‘oh finally is something going to go my way?’.”
“I want to get out there and go for it like it’s the last thing you’ll ever do and regardless of whatever happens with this now just I have to absolutely smash it, I have to, I have to.”
Speaking to Nicole Scherzinger a little while later, Kye explained why he thought the competition needs him saying:
“There has never been a Kye yet and I don’t think there are any other big male new singers in Britain. The girls are smashing it, you’ve got Adele and Emeli Sande and there’s no guys singing big songs so I’d like to fill that gap.”
It turns out he might be right and after he sang ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ by Bonnie Raitt, the audience erupted and greeted him with thunderous applause and a standing ovation.
He was of course overwhelmed and admitted:
“I’m speechless. I meant every word of that song, I felt it. it just means everything, I just need a break.”
As he left the stage, Tulisa said:
“He is amazing! He told a story, I was there with him.”
Louis Walsh admitted:
“It was faultless. He’s become the one to watch now”
Nicole is also a fan and raved:
“I watched him and I believed every word he was saying right now, that’s why we were captivated and we stuck with him.”
