X Factor 2012: Kye Sones wants to be the male Adele!

Kye Sones has revealed that he wants to become as big as Adele, though his X factor audition.

The 30 year old singer from Middlesex tried out for the ITV show earlier this year and on Saturday night was seen wowing the judges with a mashup of Rita Ora’s RIP and one of his own tunes.

Rita was a guest judge on the day and thought he was a total ‘superstar’, while Gary Barlow raved:

‘Kye I think the greatest thing with you is the fact that we’ve not only found a great singer, we’ve also found an artist. This is someone who knows exactly how they should sound, what they should be singing, this is extremely exciting.’

Sones told The Mirror that he was elated with the response he received and that if he makes it through bootcamp and judges houses he wants to showcase his songwriting skills during the talent comeptition.

“Song writing is so important,” he said. “There are no male Adeles out there, there’s a massive gap for a British guy.

“Adele’s amazing and she’s sold millions. They’re such big songs, that’s the kind of thing I’m into.”

If Kye does make it past bootcamp and into judges houses, he will be mentored by Take That star Gary, as it has been revealed that the dad of three will work with the overs this year.

Tulisa has landed the girls category, Nicole Scherzinger has the boys, while Louis Walsh has been stuck with the groups again.
