Melanie Masson completely and utterly wowed us on last weekend’s X Factor live show, so we were on the edge of our seats waiting to see what she would pull out of the bag this evening.

We visited the X Factor studios and caught up with the mum of two earlier this week and while she wouldn’t give away what she would be singing tonight, she did promise us that it would be a current and contemporary track and one that people might not necessarily expect her to perform.

The songstress took on the INXS hit ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ and looked stunning in her white trouser suit as she closed the live show. We liked her simple stage set and the fact that the performance was all about Melanie, all about her vocal….and what a vocal it was!

JUDGES COMMENTS:

Gary Barlow: The oldest contestant in the competition you sang your heart out tonight. What a voice! Undeniable! What a performance, congratulations.

Louis Walsh: Talk about going out on a high note. Scotland’s rock mamma. I am a big fan.

Tulisa: From fairy lady to diva you are back in full MILF mode. Half way through I was a bit worried about the song choice but then you pulled it straight back with those power notes.

Nicole Scherzinger: Brilliant job, that shows us that you can do everything. You started out playful, then you did your righteous notes and you went back into control. I am really impressed.
