X Factor 2012: Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole are having a fight!
In a recent interview, Cheryl, 28, slammed her former manager (he represented Girls Aloud from 2002-5) by saying he actually had no involvement in the band.
“Louis claimed to be our manager, but he never did it,’ she tells Marie Claire. “We didn’t talk to him or anything like that. He just took a cheque.”
Chez also says of Louis, 59, who she later worked with as a judge on The X Factor between 2008-10, “[Louis had] Zero involvement… We managed ourselves. He never chose a hit. Who chose them? Us.”
But Louis, who has managed successful bands such as Westlife and Boyzone, isn’t one to take things lying down. He tells heat magazine:
“What is she peddling this time? Eyelashes or hairspray? It’s definitely not her music! At least I am still on The X Factor and happy to be there. I’m a much better manager than she is a singer. She seems to be in the fashion business now, selling fake hair pieces, fake eyelashes, fake everything.
“Has anyone ever heard her sing live or a cappella? If she comes back on The X Factor, she needs to sing live this time. I don’t know why she’s started this war with me. I’ve always liked her – she’s a very good-looking girl, but obviously not the best singer in Girls Aloud. Nadine is – I always said that. Cheryl is a great clothes horse. Nice girl, but likes to get her own way. I’ve got two words to say: vocal lessons. When I write my book, I’ll tell the real story of Cheryl.”
This week’s heat is on sale now.
