X Factor 2012: Louis Walsh exposes Twitter fake, saying “I’m not even on Twitter”
X Factor judge Louis Walsh has spoken out about a fake Twitter account whose owner is pretending to be the pop mogul.
Using the name, @LWalshofficial, the account holder has used the page to post tweets on various subjects including the Olympics, The X Factor and the campaign against former Big Brother housemate Kenneth Tong who sent vile messages to Louis’s fellow judge Gary Barlow over the death of his baby daughter, Poppy.
And within days of setting up the fake account, it had around 42,000 followers, including celebrities such as James Corden.
However, while speaking to the Daily Star last night, Louis said, “This isn’t me. I’m not on Twitter.”
And his spokesman added, “This Twitter account doesn’t have the verified tick to let people know it’s the real person…
“Fans should be aware this account is nothing to do with Louis.”
But as of right now, the account is still on Twitter, and the user is still pretending he/she is Louis, tweeting messages about the launch of this year’s X Factor and asking followers to comment on a tweet which reads, “Who thinks I should changed my style for the new series of The X Factor?”
I wonder why anyone would take the time and effort to pretend to be someone else??
They clearly need a hobby, or a life…
