X Factor 2012: Louis Walsh insists Gary Barlow should NEVER comment on contestants’ dancing!
Louis Walsh has admitted that he has a problem with Gary Barlow critiquing the performing and dancing skills of the X Factor contestants.
On Saturday’s show the Take That star told Jahmene Douglas that he should stop dancing as looks ‘clumsy’ when he moves about the stage – it made matters much worse that the hopeful was already crying at the time – and then berated Ella Henderson for ‘cheapening’ her act with moves and a routine which could have been performed by 90’s pop group Steps.
Louis says that he doesn’t mind Barlow speaking about singing or the ‘business’ part of the music industry, but he insists the Take That star should not be allowed to comment on anyone’s dancing.
Speaking about their weekly bickering, the Irish star told Metro:
‘Most of our arguments are about the songs.’
‘He knows the business inside out and is perfectly equipped to judge on the show. Except dancing, he’s a bad dancer so that’s one area he shouldn’t be allowed to comment on.’
Louis has loved the series so far, despite the fact that he has been embroiled in what seems like scandal, after drama, after furore.
He caused Gaz to storm off stage during the first week of the competition, after he saved Rylan Clark over Carolynne Poole and though that’s the most memorable moment of the series so far for us, Louis has an altogether different highlight.
He told Metro that the best thing about the X Factor this year for him is watching how his two boybands have developed and grown.
‘My two highlights have been seeing District3 and Union J make the transition from boys to men. They’ve become proper boybands. They could be major players in the industry. The girls LOVE them!’
So who does he prefer? Well a week ago we’d have said that the former Westlife boss was throwing his weight behind Union J, but after District 3 pulled it back with a fantastic performance of ‘Beggin’ at the weekend, the competition is wide open and it seems he knows it.
‘It’s 50/50 right now. I couldn’t possibly call it. Both work incredibly hard, sing superbly and look great. District3 really impressed me on Saturday night with that backflip!’
So where do you stand on the Gary / Louis feud? Which boyband do you prefer? We want to know……leave your comments below.
