Louis Walsh is backing Dannii Minogue’s return to the X Factor.

It was reported today that the Australian singer already has her contract for the 2012 series of the ITV show and is currently deciding if she wants to commit to the all encompassing talent competition.

In an interview with Heat magazine, Louis claimed that she totally deserves her spot on the panel, because of the amount of work she put into her acts when she starred on the show previously.

The former Westlife boss said:

“Dannii went above and beyond and deserves a seat on that panel.”

“She’s feistier than her sister and brings glamour to the panel. She’s been in the industry since she was seven.”

However, Louis thinks that there will be fireworks between the female stars, if Dannii does replace Kelly Rowland.

Last year Tulisa and Kelly were rumoured to have sparked off one another, particularly after the N-Dubz star accused Misha B of being a bully. Walsh thinks the same situation could arise between Contostavlos and Minogue in 2012.

He added:

“There will be problems and fireworks, I’m sure.”

“Dannii has won twice and Tulisa just the one. They’ll clash, big time!”

Tulisa, Louis and Gary Barlow have all been confirmed as returning to the X Factor, when auditions start next week (check out the full list of dates here) and after Walsh and Barlow engaged in a light hearted spat about who got the head judge title this year, Simon Cowell tweeted that Tulisa would be in charge, because she won with Little Mix last year.

Louis doesn’t think the music mogul’s comments should be taken seriously and said:

“Apparently Simon tweeted saying Tulisa would be the ‘head’ judge this year. I think he’s making a bit of a joke there!

“I haven’t seen her sex tape video and I don’t want to, thanks. It’s certainly got her lots of coverage. She’s doing well for herself!”
