X Factor 2012: More death threats for Rylan Clark after his dramatic wailing – Lucy Spraggan, Adam Burridge & Jake Quickenden defend their pal
It was probably the most extreme reaction we have ever seen given by an X Factor contestant and it seems that viewers were no fans of Rylan Clark’s histrionics on last night’s episode.
After Nicole Scherzinger told the model that he had made it into her final 12 and was heading to the live shows next week, he collapsed on the floor, wailing like a banshee and shouting “are you lying?”.
Even the Pussycat Doll star looked shocked as she witnessed his crying, his snot and his howling but she wasn’t as annoyed as viewers, many of who took to Twitter to blast her choice of contestant.
We revealed yesterday that Clark has already been the subject of very serious online hate and he recently confirmed that he had received death threats on the micro blogging website. They continued last night as people realised they could potentially be watching Rylan and his antics every weekend between now and Christmas.
One Twitter user wrote:
“@SimonCowell your confused at losing viewers rylan Clark has taken the show to a new level , you should be ashamed absolutely ashamed”
Another added:
“OH DEAR LORD how much of a twat is Rylan Clark?! How on earth did he get through?! Nicole is off her rocker!!!!!!!!!”
“@RylanClark Bloody hell mate, you know how to turn on the waterworks! #xfactor”
Some people took things to another level and a few threats were made towards the singer with one viewer writing:
“Rylan Clark needs to be shot in the face.”
Another said:
“Rylan Clark should be shot dead.”
We thought it was nice that some former contestants, who lost a place in the competition came out in support of Clark online.
Jake Quickenden was seen being rejected by Nicole last night, but he was gracious in his defeat and tweeted the final four saying:
“@JamesArthur23 @JahmeneDouglas @RylanClark well done you all deserve it absolutely brilliant lads if I had to be pied off am glad it’s 4 you”
He added:
“Am gutted but worst things happen everyday and am still gonna push on! Anyone wanna sign me ha am up for it! And don’t hate on @RylanClark x”
Adam Burridge, who was rejected but now has a chance of coming back as a wild card contestant, also defended Rylan, writing:
“@RylanClark is a hero and talented and such a nice kid, friend for life! Fanks so much for support but my time was up in the show..”
Joseph Whelan who was dropped at bootcamp said:
“@RylanClark is one of the best guys I know….I won’t read any tweets hating on him x”
And Lucy Spraggan, who did win a place in the final twelve and will be living with Clark now that the live shows are due to start said:
“My friend @RylanClark is one of the most genuine guys I have ever met, on screen and off. #dontletthebastardsgrindyoudown”
Rylan responded:
“Thanks so much for your support, promise I won’t let you guys down , am in xfact house they’re taking my phone for the night #love x”
What do you think of Nicole’s decision to take Rylan through over Adam Burridge and Jake Quickenden? Do you think she made the right choice? Watch his reaction again and leave your comments below….
