X Factor 2012: New twist in Tulisa sex tape debacle reveals “Take 50% of profits or get f*** all” ultimatum
X Factor judge Tulisa has of course scored a victory over former boyfriend Justin ‘MC Ultra’ Edwards in court recently after he admitted he had in fact been behind leaking the infamous sex tape onto the internet for sale…
But she’s not prepared to leave it there, and is now also seeking damages from some of Edwards’ associates, including Spice Girls ‘creator’ Chris Herbert, for their part in facilitating the sale of the footage.
However, it’s been reported today that three of the people who were allegedly involved in distributing the video clip told Tulisa that if she didn’t take legal action over it, she would land 50% of the profits Edwards made from selling the footage. But she was also reportedly told she would get “f*** all” if she insisted on pursuing legal action…
The paper reports, “The ultimatum was to say that X Factor judge Tulisa could either accept 50 per cent of her ex Justin Edwards’ cut from selling the six-minute clip online or else sue him and end up with nothing.
“The email is said to have been sent by internet businessman Jim Deans to alleged co-conspirators Marino Franchi and Dennis Jared.”
The damning information has apparently been outlined in a written witness statement entered into the High Court by Tulisa’s lawyer Jonathan Coad.
Each of the three men named are being sued for £100,000 each for breach of Tulisa’s privacy, however, it seems music consultant Chris Herbert did not receive the email.
Edwards of course settled undisclosed damages with the former N-Dubz singer after admitting he lied in court when he denied his involvement in leaking the tape in March.
We’ll of course keep you posted on any developments in the case.
