X Factor 2012: Nicole Scherzinger defends Rylan Clark – he is expecting OFCOM complaints!
Nicole Scherzinger has defended her choices on last night’s X Factor show.
The brunette beauty faced a public backlash after she chose Rylan Clark as one of her final three, over rejected singers Jake Quickenden and Adam Burridge.
Twitter erupted with furious fans, as Rylan collapsed sobbing on the floor and wailed while Nicole informed him that he would be performing on the live shows.
Clark will join Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur in the final rounds and speaking on last night’s Xtra Factor Nicole told Caroline Flack that she though Rylan’s journey was perfect for the ITV show.
She explained:
“He has done so, so much work. He has improved so much.”
Scherzinger added:
“Someone who is willing to work that hard and it means so much to them, you just know you are going to get absolutely everything out of them.”
Nic later revealed that Clark’s tears didn’t dry up after the cameras stopped rolling for the ITV show.
He was almost hysterical as Nicole broke the good news to him and apparently his histrionics continued for most of the night and she admitted:
“I had a break and dinner and he was still crying. I went for a ride on a camel, came back and he was still crying.”
Clark is planning to keep the antics up he admitted and if you aren’t a fan of the dramatic entrances, the over the top reactions and the buckets of tears then you perhaps don’t want to watch his live performances.
In fact he’s planning to be so daring, that he is fully expecting some viewers to make complaints about him and told Flack:
“Saturday nights won’t be the same. If there aren’t Ofcom complaints, I haven’t done my job right.”
We absolutely dread to think what he’s planning, but whatever it is, Nicole might not know as she’s still in LA working on her new album.

Its obvious the producers picked him for drama and comic relief not for his singing talent. they should be honest and say so like Loius who picked two boybands that teenage girls would vote for not for their talent. the objective is to generate controversy and get people to watch even if they think the talent is crap, which it mostly is since the best people were not picked.
I have just watched Xfactor and will never watch it again. Louis Welsh after much faffing about said very clearly, ‘I want to save Caroline’, Caroline heard that and if you review your tapes you will see that and her joyous reaction.
Why then was he allowed to change his mind and decide to say he chose to go to DEADLOCK. Was it because he had picked the wrong person, and the powers that be wanted the other contestant to stay because of his flamboyance and ridiculous behaviour.
Sorry it is intollerable this is typical of some of the stupid decisions made. Louis Welsh wants a good telling off and I am sorry but that young lady should be brought back and apologised too, what a disgraceful show tonight turned out to be, I can quite understand Gary Barlow walking out in disgust.
Come on the powers that be, put this right immediately, and don’t say it cannot be done because I am sure that it can, it is not about the station saving face either it is about doing what is right.
