X Factor 2012: Nicole Scherzinger says “It feels great to come full circle” on the show

Newly appointed X Factor UK judge Nicole Scherzinger has revealed her delight at taking over the judging spot vacated by Kelly Rowland.

She told the PA, “I’m so excited to join the UK X Factor family. It’s where I got my start, so it feels great to come full circle.

“I can’t wait to see what talent the UK has to offer and to help inspire and bring out the best in these artists.”

Nicole was of course a judge and mentor on last year’s first season of X Factor USA, and prior to that, she had close ties with the UK show, having performed live a number of times, and having been a guest judge.

It’s understood she’s agreed a deal worth around £750,000 to become a judge for at least this year’s series…

In the last few weeks, a number of celebrities have been making appearances at the show’s auditions rounds, including Anastacia, Rita Ora, Geri Halliwell and Mel B.

Of signing Nicole to the show, ITV executive Peter Fincham said, “Nicole will bring her wealth of experience, both as a solo artist, and as a member of a group, to this year’s Judging panel.”

She officially begins her new job on Monday when the auditions arrive in Newcastle and thereafter until the auditions end on June 25th.

Do you think Nicole’s a good choice for X Factor UK?

    Yes! She’s a great choice!

Great choice better than Kelly rowland who was dull as dishwater

Kelly Rowland was the liveliest judge last year! Give Kelly anytime over Nicole or Tulisa. There must be something else you didn’t like about Kelly, but she was not dull at all. She was great! Nicole and her baby voice on American xfactor! I hope she has changed, as for now its a no from me. Anastacia or Bel B would have been a better choice.
