X Factor 2012: One Direction’s Liam Payne praises Gary Barlow, Ella Henderson & Louis Tomlinson likes Jahmene Douglas,

One Direction many be busy jetting all around the world but they still make time to tune into the X Factor whenever possible.

The lads started out on the ITV show, after they all auditioned as solo singers back in 2010. Simon Cowell spotted their potential, grouped them together and 1D went on to finish in fourth place in the series.

The rest is history and the fab fivesome have went on to become the best selling boy band in the world.

The X Factor lineup has changed since Liam, Harry, Louis, Zayn and Niall took part and instead of Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell sitting alongside Louis Walsh, this year the Irish star is joined by Nicole Scherzinger, Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostavlos.

Harry Styles thinks the panel are ding a great job and told The Sun’s TV magazine:

“I think the judges are doing brilliantly.”

Liam added:

I love Gary. I’d want him as our mentor if we were on the show this year.”

Louis Tomlinson has his eye on some of the contestants and has already picked his favourites, who he thinks could go on to win the series.

Lou Lou said:

“I thought Jahmene [Douglas, 21, the shy shelf stacker who wowed the judges when he sang Etta James' At Last] was sick.”

Liam added:

“For me, it’s Ella [Henderson, the 16 year old who wrote a heartbreaking song about her late grandad], she’s amazing.”

The X Factor moves into it’s judges houses stage tonight, with the final 25 acts battling it out for just 12 places on the live shows.
