X Factor 2012: Rebecca Ferguson reveals she’s happy to be single, saying, “I’m done with men”
Stunningly beautiful former X Factor finalist Rebecca Ferguson has revealed that for the time being, she’s happy to be single, saying that she’s “a bit done with men.”
Speaking to the Mirror, Rebecca said, “I am a bit done with men, for now anyway. I am yet to find one faithful.
“I don’t know why boys are like that. I think I am too nice with them and let them get away with murder.
“It is heartbreaking to feel that I have been let down like that. But you know what? I have written a bloody good album on the back of it.”
And inevitably, Rebecca was asked about her relationship with One Direction singer Zayn Malik, who she dated briefly a couple of years ago.
She said, “I was with him for three months and people put so much focus on it because we were in the public eye…
“I was 24 then and I’d had two kids and other relationships so remember I’d had a lot of life experience before that. He’s a footnote in my life maybe.”
Rebecca went on to say that she falls in love too easily, which has caused her some heartbreak in the past.
She said, “I have been in love loads. I’m terrible for it. I fall in love at the drop of a hat.”
However, she’s not feeling the love for her former management company with whom she had a very public split earlier this year after she claimed they were treating her like a work horse.
Of that, Rebecca said, “Don’t get me wrong. I am a hard worker, but I would be getting in at 1am and then be arriving for a flight at 3am.
“When I broke my leg I really wanted to do BGT and it had been the diary for a long time but after that my leg was completely messed up.
“I’ve got muscle damage because of it and now it is damaged for life.
“It was just too much. I thought I want to be successful but not so much that I can’t walk.
“I was happy to do those two things, BGT and Chatty Man, but other things I did against my will.
“People were saying I didn’t like hard work but it was common sense to stop.”
Finally, Rebecca revealed that she’s had to toughen up to survive in the music biz.
She said, “If you are going to survive in business, show-business or any business, then you have to be bold.
“It’s part of coming from Liverpool and having that spirit in you to stand up for yourself.”
