X Factor 2012 results: Louis Walsh tells Christopher Maloney where he’s going wrong!
Louis Walsh has insisted that Christopher Maloney should stick to old songs on the X Factor.
The irish star criticised the hopeful last night for singing a Michael Buble song that was only three years old and he insisted that the tune didn’t suit his style or his voice.
The comments upset Chris, as he had previoulsy been told to move away from dated and cheesy numbers and he insisted ‘I can’t do anything right!’.
Louis explained his comments on The Xtra Factor last night and said:
“His first song tonight [You Raise Me Up] was really really good. I could see him working in the West End definitely but I don’t think he should do the new songs, they don’t suit him. He’s an old soul.”
Meanwhile Chris’ mentor Gary Barlow has revealed that he enjoyed working on this year’s series more than last.
In 2011 the Take That star made his X Factor debut as mentor of the boys and he had a much more successful year in comparison to the new run.
However he feels more at ease in 2012 and explained:
“It’s been fun, it’s been like a different series for me this time. I’ve been a bit more relaxed and enjoyed it and taken on the madness a bit more.’
“I really enjoyed the auditions this time. It was absolute chaos…brilliant!”
Tulisa is having a ball too and even though she doesn’t have any acts left on the show, she revealed that she has her favourites to win, saying:
“Probably James Arthur [should win] because I know he would just smash it.”
