X Factor 2012 results: Winner James Arthur is ‘upgrading’ his bedsit, moving to London and working with Ed Sheeran!
James Arthur is London bound!
The 23 year old won The X Factor last night and as a result will make his first album with SYCO in early 2013. He’s hoping to get cracking on the record straight away and revealed this morning that he wants to get it out as quickly as possible. No messing about.
To make the process easier, James revealed that he’s planning to move down to London as soon as possible, after spending Christmas in Middlesborough with his family.
Speaking on This Morning he said:
“I am going to move to London, I have really fell in love with the place.”
He admitted that his new pad would be a definite ‘upgrade’ to his previous bedsit and then Arthur added:
“I hadn’t really come here a lot before The X Factor and I have realised it is probably the place to be. There are a lot of people that I want to work with that are based up in London so, I am definitely going to be moving here in the next couple of weeks.”
One of those people will most likely be Ed Sheeran and it’s been reported that a collaboration between the two artists is definitely on the cards.
Ed congratulated James on his win last night, saying: “Well done. Let’s get into the studio together as soon as the show’s done.”
The Sun reports that the pair have already discussed songs and projects and a source told the newspaper:
“Ed sees some of himself in James. He likes his style and is convinced a collaboration would be a big hit.”
After James won last night the ‘A Team’ hitmaker tweeted:
“Not fitting in is more often than not a blessing. Always be yourself”
James had a bit of a party last night and looked shattered as he carried out his round of media interviews this morning.
He admitted that there were some emotional moments between himself and his family after the main show, confessing:
“I just had a couple of beers and saw my family and friends and took several millions pictures. It was a real celebration and there were a few emotional moments with my family. They can’t believe how far I’ve come, I feel very proud.”
“It’s just been amazing.”
James released his winner’s single Impossible at midnight last night and already it’s at number one in the iTunes chart. He performed ‘Impossible’ on the show yesterday and you can see the video below.
