X Factor 2012: Rylan Clark isn’t so sure he will get a record deal

Rylan Clark knows that he might not get a record deal when the X Factor ends, he has admitted.

The former model is shocked to have made it so far on the ITV show and revealed on The Xtra Factor that while he would love to get signed by a record company following the ITV series, he knows that he isn’t the best talent or the most likely to get signed.

He told Olly Murs:

“I’d love to get a record deal but I’m not setting my standards too high.”

He added:

“I’ve not been the best vocalist on here so I will just take any opportunity that comes to me.”

“If I want to do it I will do it but I’d love to do dance music. 100% dance music, David Guetta, Jason Derulo.”

Tulisa thinks he can sell records though and she seems convinced he will release something in the near future.

She said:

“When you’ve got songs like ‘I’m A Barbie Girl’ out, then yeah definitely. I think he could sell records.”

“It’s going to be a cheesy form of pop but there is a market for it and people will buy into it…it’s happened before it will happen again.”

Do you think Rylan will land a deal when the series draws to a close next month? Would you buy his records if he did?
