X Factor 2012: Rylan Clark reveals he’s worried for his family after more death threats on Twitter – this s**t needs to stop!

As we reported earlier this week, X Factor hopeful Rylan Clark has been bombarded with hate filled messages from fans of the show who took exception to the fact that Rylan made it through to Judges’ Houses from Boot Camp…

Many viewers considered that Rylan had “taken a place” that could’ve, or should’ve, depending upon your opinion, gone to other singers who are considered to have better vocal ability than Rylan does.

However, if he get through to the live shows – as I suspect he will, given that I’m pretty sure we saw Nicole and Ne-Yo placing pics of James Arthur, Jahmene Douglas and Rylan on the table as they declared they’d chosen the final three – that online hate is sure to escalate.

And Rylan is of course aware of that and is bracing himself for the almost inevitable onslaught, which, as mentioned, has already begun.

In today’s Sun, Rylan has explained that while he’s obviously not a fan of getting such vile messages on sites such as Twitter, it’s the effect on his family that really concerns him…

He said, “I’ve had death threats, I’ve been told I’m going to be bottled and my face sliced open.

“At times it has killed me and it’s disgusting – some of these people act like I’m a murderer.

“It has made going out in public quite daunting.”

He added, “My mum’s not silly, she knows not everyone will like me.

“But reading comments threatening to break into my house and firebomb me would shock anyone.”

It truly is horrendous – as Rylan said, what exactly is his crime here?

Ok, he may not be the best singer in the world, but on what planet is that cause to threaten to kill someone?!

Plus, he’s a genuinely really nice guy and incredibly funny, and at the end of the day, the judges put him through, so if anyone feels the need to be so bloody hateful, then – newsflash – you’re misdirecting your hatred.

Not a fan and i don’t think he’s good enough for the X factor live shows but these people need to take a hard look at themselves their behaviour is unacceptable. All he did was audition for a tv programme, a lot of us may not like his singing but the judges did. Time to get over it folks because i’m more or less sure he’ll get through tonight

i may not be a fan of rylan its just an audition the judges liked him but he does not need any threats he has got just a much of a chance than the other contestants just leave him alone

If the judges thought that Rylan Clarke was better than some of the other clearly more talented auditionees, then maybe it’s time for some new judges. Being a keen twitterer, I have seen no end of tweets questioning the judges decision. Not only does this look bad on the judges, it also brings the whole show into disrepute! People start to question the integrity of the show. Maybe the audience should become the judge.

Sure I can’t believe such a joke act has gotten through either but Nicole obviously looked at the others she could have picked and realised none of them were good enough to win so she may as well stick another controversial novelty act through to keep people watching and the show producers happy. But that is unfair on the better performers that missed out on the experience of the live shows as a result. But don’t worry he’ll be gone soon enough.

I don’t think that X factor is about singing anymore, but to blame Ryan is WRONG is the judges who do a miserable job. Even if I could sing like rip Whitney I would never ever attend such a show cruz it’s doesn’t have to count anymore if u can sing or not.
