Rylan Clark is well used to reality TV but he can’t have been happy with the reception he got from Gary Barlow when he tried out earlier this year.

The 23 year old model once appeared on Sky Living’s ‘Signed By Katie Price’ and won a modelling contract with the mum of three, however he was still incredibly nervous when he auditioned for the ITV talent show in London.

He looked ready for fame anyway, having had his teeth whitened, his hair extended, a spray tan and his eyebrows waxed, however it was all a little bit too TOWIE for us.

The handsome wannabe told the panel that he wanted to bring a bit of Ibiza to the primetime TV show and revealed that he has previously made a living as part of a Take That and Westlife tribute band.

Performing for Gary Barlow should have been a cinch then, but it all went wrong for Ryan when he started crooning ‘Kissing You’ by Des’ree for the panel. It was a slow starter but when things sped up, we expected Rylan’s performance to take off…it didn’t. It was out of key and a bit boring but at least it was different, we have to give him that.

Louis Walsh at first seemed incredibly interested in Ryan, most likely because of the whole boyband connection and looked engrossed in the tryout as the blonde hopeful was talking.

When he started to sing though, even Louis had to admit that it wasn’t really up to par and the Irish star confessed that while he found Clark ‘interesting and fun’ he also found the whole performance very ‘confusing’.

Gary was more blunt and blasted Ryan’s ‘strange’ song choice, telling him that while he loved his personality and vibe, he ‘hated’ his voice.

Tulisa thought it was all a bit ‘cabaret’, while Rita Ora said she would give him a place in bootcamp is he promised to get some vocal lessons.

Clark looked surprised when he got yeses from Rita, Tulisa and Louis, though thankfully Gary stuck to his word and said no. Do you think he deserved his place in bootcamp? Leave your comments below…
