X Factor 2012: Sick Lucy Spraggan must make her decision today – Rylan Clark denies quit reports
The singer songwriter was absent from the lineup last weekend, after bosses confirmed that she was too ill to perform on the Halloween themed show and would be given a free pass to this weekend, avoiding Sunday’s elimination.
We revealed yesterday that the ‘Tea and Toast’ hitmaker has yet to attend any rehearsals so far this week and was the only contestant not to attend the Cosmopolitan or Pride Of Britain Awards on Tuesday and Wednesday night.
It’s been confirmed to us that as yet, Lucy hasn’t decided whether she will be back on Saturday and a source went on to tell The Sun:
“It’s completely up to her when she wants to come back to the show and there is no pressure from the producers or anyone else.”
Lucy has been absent from twitter and has not been seen in public since Rylan Clark’s birthday party last Tuesday night and on Monday Jade Ellis revealed that she and the other contestants hadn’t set eyes on her either.
Rylan has of course seen his pal, as they are living separately from the rest of the group after being evicted from the Corinthia hotel last month.
He denied reports that Lucy was considering quitting the show because of issues she had with Tulisa’s song choices and told Metro:
‘To be fair, I think that’s just hearsay. We have a major creative input in what we sing and what we don’t sing.’
He insisted that Spraggan ‘is genuinely really, really ill at the moment,’ and confirmed that she may not return to the show, telling Metro:
‘She’s on medication at the moment and we’ll just have to wait and see.’
All will become clear tomorrow we’d imagine but until then, get well soon Lucy!
