When Rylan Clark takes to the stage on tonight’s X factor show he will already be a familiar face to some viewers.

The handsome 23-year-old wannabe recently appeared on reality TV show Signed by Katie Price, which saw him come runner-up in the competition to be managed by the glamour model.

On tonight’s episode of the ITV show, the model tells Gary Barlow that he wants to bring a touch of Ibiza to The X Factor, telling the Take That singer:

‘I used to be in a boy band in Ibiza a couple of years ago and I was in a Take That tribute band…and a Westlife funnily enough. Double bubble!’

Speaking to the dad of three, he added:

‘Your mum and dad actually came and saw my show, unless they were lying.’

Barlow laughed and responded:

‘They were lying.’

Rylan Looked a little bit gutted and went on:

‘Then it weren’t, we got them free drinks and everything, I can’t believe that!’

Louis Walsh of course was more interested in the boyband angle, having previously managed Westlife until their split earlier this year.

He asked:

‘So you were Take That and Westlife? I love it!’

Clark explained:

‘Yeah on a Thursday we were Take That and on a Monday we were Westlife, we just used to change the shirts.’

The hopeful then launched into a rendition of ‘Kissing You’ by Des’ree but it wasn’t quite as accomplished as the judges might have liked.

Guest judge Rita Ora said:

“You know what, you are really really fun and I want to see what else you got. I’m a Rylan fan.”

Gary wasn’t quite so keen and went on:

“Rylan, love your personality, hate your voice, really strange song choice as well.”

Tulisa continued:

“I’m an Ibiza girl so I love the fact that you’ve brought a bit of Ibiza to us today, I mean your fun, it is a bit… what’s the word I’m trying to look for… cabaret?”

Louis looked most disappointed and said:

“Rylan I am confused, I really am, I think your interesting, I think your fun, I think you’ve got a great personality, I think your voice is okay, but I’m just a bit worried.”
