Katie Sky was one of the standout acts who performed at yesterday’s X Factor auditions in Manchester, it has been reported.

The singer songwriter reportedly tried out for the ITV show during the evening session last night and blew Gary Barlow, Tulisa, Louis Walsh and guest judge Mel B away with her smooth vocal tones.

Katie seems to be one of the acts who bosses hope will bring credibility to the new series when it launches this summer, as she has been one of a few who are strong songwriters and are keen to perform their own original material.

Sky recently released her debut EP ‘Paradise’, which includes her new single ‘Sweet Sweet Melody’.
