Tulisa Contostavlos has admitted that Ella Henderson is struggling with her nerves on The X Factor.

The brunette beauty is working closely with the 16 year old contestant, as her final act remaining on the ITV show and last night she blew the judges away with her version of ‘Written In the Stars’ by Tinie tempah.

Louis Walsh said she was the best singer to take part in the show since Leona Lewis, while Louis Tomlinson from One Direction thought she was even better than that.

However, Contostavlos said she still gets stressed before the live shows and told The Xtra Factor:

“Knowing her on a personal level, one of the things she really struggles with – and I know it doesn’t show on stage – is her nerves.”

Tulisa added:

“She actually really struggles with them, tonight she came into my dressing room and gave me a big cuddle and said ‘I’m really nervous.’”

Olly Murs asked what advice Tulisa gives to young Ella when she gets worried and stressed and she explained:

“I just tell her to let loose a bit and enjoy it. That’s the only advice you can give, she can only do the best she can.”

Henderson reached out to her fans on Twitter last night, asking that they continue to vote for her today. She wrote:

“Enjoyed tonight sooo much! Don’t want this to end! #VoteForElla #TeamElla x”
