Tonight’s X Factor show opened with Tulia Contostavlos making her final decisions on which singers she was bringing through to the live shows with her.

The former N-Dubz singer had to choose just three from her six hopefuls and the first person she awarded a place in her final group was Ella Henderson.

Before finding out her fate, Ella admitted:

“Being told that I’m not good enough or that the thing I do isn’t going to cut it…that’s really frightening. I have never wanted anything more than this in my life.”

However thankfully it was good news and Tulisa said:

“You have got all that it takes to be a pop star and it’s so ahead of your years. Your downfalls were that yu were pretty nervous yesterday, and though you are absolutely amazing so are so many others in the category and there are only three spaces.”

“I think you are a star and I am taking you through to the live shows.”

Henderson exclaimed:

“I feel incredible, on top of the world.”

Next, the blonde beauty was seen rejecting a very weepy Leanne Robinson. She said:

‘I really wanted a yes, I really did.’

Jade Collins didn’t cut the mustard either and she wept in Dermot’s arms before Jade Ellis was told that she was one of the final three.

Tulisa told Ellis:

“You don’t have the strongest voice in the competition but you have great tones that makes your voice interesting. I know you have a little girl at home and it means a lot to you.

But I think you’re a star and you’re one of my final three.”

Contostavlos’ last decision was between Amy Mottram and Lucy Spraggan. She thought Amy’s performances are always ‘on point’ but loved Luce’s originality and ability to produce her own music.

She told Lucy ‘I loved you from the start ad I love you know and I’m taking you to the live shows.’

Hwever she told Amy:

‘If there were four places in this competition you would be the person that jumped right in there.’

She later added:

‘I don’t know what I’m doing. I didn’t want to let her go…’

We revealed earlier this week that there will be four wildcards acts coming back to the live shows next week, so perhaps Mottram will be Tulisa’s other singer….
