X Factor 2012: Tulisa gets mocked over Jessie J slip up – Jedward, JLS, The Wanted and McFly to join The Xtra Factor?
Tulisa Contostavlos was mocked at yesterday’s X Factor auditions, when admitted that she didn’t recognise a Jessie J song.
The former N-Dubz star was presiding over the London auditions for the ITV show, alongside Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and guest judge Nicole Scherzinger, when she asked a hopeful who wrote the song they had just performed for the panel.
The audience jeered and her fellow panelists teased her, as it was revealed that the track was a popular Jessie J number.
Tulisa of course professed to be great friends with The Voice judge when she asked her to assist at judges houses last year, when Contostavlos chose her final contestants for the live shows.
However, it seems that she rarely listens to her pal’s music and defending herself against the crowd, she blasted:
“Yeah [I'm friends with Jessie], but that don’t mean I’m going to listen to her album.”
Meanwhile, it has been reported that ITV2 bosses are on the hunt for their own famous guest stars, who can step in to present the Xtra Factor with Caroline Flack while Olly Murs is absent.
Murs is currently supporting One Direction on their US summer tour and at the audition dates so far, Flack has been flying solo. However, it has been claimed that producers are in talks with a number of male stars about joining her to capture footage at the upcoming tryouts.
Sources say that executives are in talks with Jedward, JLS, The Wanted and McFly about joining the presenting team.
One insider told The Sun:
“[Olly] will be back for the live shows but in the meantime we need stand-ins as it’s quite a rowdy show and works better with more than one presenter. It was going to just be JLS before, who have experience of the show as that’s what shot them to fame.
“But during talks we realised that it might be better if we used a few boybands.”
That might get just a little crazy if the video below is anything to go by!

Tulisa is a joke, she demonstrated her lack of musical knowledge last year when she didn’t recognise well known songs performed by the contestants on the live shows. But then, I suppose she’s not being paid enough to do her homework and add depth to her musical knowledge to improve her performance at work, is she? Stupid, talentless and common. And before anyone says she won last year, no, Little Mix won, and watching the programs it was obvious all of the best advice (which they always followed the following week) came from Kelly Rowland and Gary Barlow. Tulisa is as competent a judge as she is a performer in sex videos. Waste of space on both counts.
