X Factor 2012: Tulisa loves James Arthur, Jahmene Douglas and Union J – HAD to save District 3

Tulisa Contostavlos has admitted that her decision to save District 3 on last night’s X Factor show was purely an emotional one.

The N Dubz star was asked to choose between Melanie Masson and the boy band, after they were revealed to be the bottom two acts on the Sunday results show and she definitely deliberated over her choice.

Melanie wowed the judges with a powerhouse version of ‘Stay With Me Baby,’ while District 3 underwhelmed slightly with their rendition of ‘Everything I Do.’

In the end, Tulisa opted to back her pal Louis Walsh and send his act through to next week’s show and explaining her decision on The Xtra Factor she said:

“I couldn’t make a decision and when I feel like that, when I can’t use my head, I have to go with my heart and my heart said save the boys.”

However, despite her loyalty to the three piece vocal harmony group, who she felt so very strongly about, Contostavlos doesn’t rate them among her favourite contestants.

When asked who she enjoys watching on the ITV show, apart from her own acts Jade Ellis, Lucy Spraggan and Ella Henderson, she admitted:

“My favourites other than my acts are James Arthur, Jahmene Douglas and Union J.”

What did you think of last night’s result? Do you think Tulsia was right to save District 3? Leave your comments below….
