X Factor 2012: Tulisa reveals she was the victim of a date rape sex attack and that smoking weed nearly ruined her life
As we reported yesterday, X Factor judge Tulisa’s new auto-biography, Honest, is being serialized by The Sun this week, and today’s first installment reveals that when she was 16, Tulisa was the victim of a date rape attack.
The paper states that the horror sex attack began when Tulisa’s drink was spiked with a date rape drug, and she awoke at some point later to find a man she didn’t know was having sex with her.
She said, “I couldn’t even move, let alone get up or speak. I knew I’d been drugged. I went into the bathroom and burst into tears.”
The Sun online doesn’t have the full story, and advises readers that they can read more in the actual paper.
Meanwhile, the Daily Star reports that Tulisa also revealed that smoking cannabis from the age of 12 has, she believes, had a detrimental affect on her life…
She explained that boozing and smoking weed were a “standard thing for everyone” when she was at school, but by the age of 14 she had to give up smoking weed after she blacked out and woke up in an ambulance.
The paper adds, “And, in an exclusive interview, Tulisa, 24, said she still gets heart palpitations as a result of her smoking days.”
She said, “At school, drink and weed was a standard thing for everyone. The first time I got absolutely smashed was when I was 12.
“I would drink the cheapest stuff available because I didn’t have any money as a young kid.
“So things like cider, vodka, rum – whatever we could convince older girls to buy for us, really. We’d be getting messy every weekend.
“I’ve never stopped drinking but I stopped smoking weed when I was 14 as I started getting heart palpitations and having panic attacks.
“One day I fell to the floor, started frothing at the mouth and blacked out. I woke up in an ambulance and never smoked weed again.
“I’ve been left with heart palpitations as a result of smoking – so let that be a warning to you!”
And in a statement of the glaringly obvious, Tulisa added, “Kids should not be smoking and drinking.”
However, all of her life experiences to date have taught her a lesson it would seem.
She said, “The main thing in life is to be positive, do the best you can and try to be happy.
“There’s no point in anything unless you are happy.”
Meanwhile, as we prepare for the judges houses episodes of the show to air next weekend, Unreality TV have put together out predictions for his year’s X Factor final 24. Have a look and tell us if you agree!
