X Factor 2012: Tulisa’s writing a novel based on real people! Will Simon Cowell be in there?!

X Factor judge Tulisa has only just released her autobiography, but it seems she’s been bitten by the writing bug, and is currently penning a novel…

However, she’s revealed that although the storyline in the book will be fictional, she’s basing the characters around real people, which of course leads us to wonder if her X Factor colleagues, and especially Simon Cowell, will feature in some way!

Speaking to the Daily Star, Tulisa said, “I’m writing a novel. Let’s say there are elements of the book based on real-life characters I know.”

She added, “Its definitely not 50 Shades Of Grey. It’s exciting for me.

“It’s something that I wanted to do with the same publishers as my autobiography.

“I do a lot of reading. I like crime novels and my No 1 author is Martina Cole…”

And after the rumours of tensions between Tulisa and former judge Kelly Rowland, if there’s to be a murder in her book, we again can’t help but wonder if Kelly might feature as the victim!

Of the rivalry between herself and Kelly, Tulisa admitted, “There were times backstage when me and Kelly wouldn’t talk.

“It didn’t bother me, though. I was like: ‘If you don’t want to talk to me, don’t talk to me.’”

But back on the subject of Tulisa’s book, when asked if there was any chance it could be adapted into a film, in which she might star, she replied, “I want to do more acting. It’s fun to be someone else.

“A great start would be doing a Brit flick.”

And even better would be your own Brit flick I imagine!

Meanwhile, the remaining X Factor acts will take to the stage tonight to sing songs that fit with Halloween theme. Check out the list of song teasers for this evening’s show here…..

Hi. I resent celebrities like Tulisa pushing out ‘their’ fiction. Katie Price is a good example of such a celebrity too.. Consider the above article… “There were times backstage when me and Kelly wouldn’t talk.” How can some with such poor grammar be a writer? Who is the editor or ghost writer who makes the utter drivel almost readable? It just is not fair on the many writers with considerable talent struggling to make a living out of their writing. Finally, the one thing a writer is always advised to never do, is put real-life characters in a novel. It is not just the legal ramifications but the artistic pitfalls as well. The reader knows it to be fiction but a constant remeinder of reality will obviously negatively affect the reader’s suspension of disbelief (the quality of versimiltude). Tulisa can sing to a reasonable pop standard, and she can take part in homemade sex videos. Do we really need any more from her? It’s not like her celebrity is deserved, is it?

I hope you and your book, Tulisa, do well not just commercially but be acclaimed. I’m interested!
