After analysing nearly 2 million tweets in relation to The X Factor since October the Hit Search Brand Monitor has spoken!
The Hit Search Brand Monitor captures any brand’s “buzz” and segments opinions into positive and negative. By searching billions of information sources, such as blogs, message boards, forums, news sites, (as well as social media giants Twitter, Facebook and Google+) this services provides up to minute information about brands and public opinion.
They have been working on The X Factor for the last two months and today revealed that the majority of viewers like to tweet about Tulisa….however they aren’t saying good things.
37 % of tweets have been about the N Dubz star – in comparison to 26% about Gary Barlow, 23% about Nicole Scherzinger and only 14% for Louis Walsh – however most messages have been negative, especially we would imagine after her live performance on last Sunday’s show.
Despite the fact that more than eight million people saw Contostavlos perform her latest single at the weekend, it hasn’t helped her sales and after receiving poor reviews it was confirmed yesterday that she had sold less than eight thousand copies and was only number 17 in the midweek charts.
Speaking of Sundays, it seems that this is also the most popular day to tweet about the ITV show, with almost 40% of all Twitter messages about the series being posted on this day.
The X Factor returns to our screens this weekend for the finale and Tulisa won’t have any acts in the show. Neither will Louis Walsh and instead they will watch as impartial observers, as Nicole Scherzinger tries to push either Jahmene Douglas or James Arthur to win and Gary Barlow champions Christopher Maloney.
Gaz has to perform his own show tonight first and his solo tour moves into Manchester this evening. He tweeted:
