X Factor 2012: Working with Gary Barlow has been ’10 times better’ than Kye Sones imagined!
Kye Sones has admitted that he feels privileged to work with Gary Barlow on this year’s X Factor series.
The 30 year old singer won a place in Barlow’s final three at judges houses and will take to the stage for the first time this Saturday night for the live shows.
“We are all really glad that we got Gary, because he is giving us all this advice and we’re just soaking it up like a sponge. It’s like nothing I’ve ever done before, it’s a whole new experience.”
During a later interview on This Morning, Kye added:
“To work with Gary has been such a new experience, it’s like nothing I’ve ever done before. It’s been ten times better than I imagined, everything has been so nice.”
Awww that’s so sweet. In saying that we think we’d be full of the joys of spring too if we got to be in such close proximity to Gaz on a regular basis….that’s if we could remember how to speak.
Sones also revealed that he struggled with his decision over whether or not to audition for the ITV show initially and when he did, he didn’t even tell his friends and family that he was trying out. He admitted:
“I’d been in bands and stuff before and they never really worked. I was pretty flawed as far as my confidence went. I’ve been back at work for a couple of years, working with my brother doing the chimneys. I read in the paper that this year it was open to people that had done stuff before, and I thought I should give it one more shot.”
“It took a lot for me to do it, I didn’t tell anyone, didn’t tell my family and my friends because I didn’t want to put them through the heartache again if I tell them I’m going and then come back and told them it was a no.”
Luckily he didn’t get a no and Kye will be performing this Saturday night.
The supposed song list for the final 12 singers has been leaked online. Check it out and tell us what you think of Kye’s comments on Gary below….
