X Factor 2012: Zoe Alexander was cautioned by police after audition assault (VIDEO)
Zoe Alexander has admitted that the police have paid her a visit, after her violent X Factor audition earlier this week.
The Pink impersonator tried out for the judges in Cardiff on Monday, but when Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos told her she was nothing more than ‘average’, onlookers claim that the hopeful kicked off, threw a mic at the panel and later assaulted one of the female production staff.
Zoe admitted that she kicked off, but insists she pushed and not punched the producer, however, her actions were enough to earn her a police caution she has confirmed.
The Daily Mirror reports today that the crew member reported Alexander to the police for assault and that the officers visited Zoe at home and later held her in a police cell for some time.
“I don’t really remember what happened but I gave her a push – not a punch as some said,” Zoe told the newspaper, adding:
“It was caught on CCTV and was caused by frustration. I shouldn’t have done it.
“I made an immediate public apology to the woman, the judges and most of all the audience for my bad language because I don’t swear normally.
“But I was amazed when the police knocked on my door the next day and arrested me.”
Thankfully for her, the police accepted her explanation of events and took into consideration her claims that she was set up on the day, told what to sing and how to behave and then made a fool of in front of thousands of audience members.
Zoe continued:
“After they interviewed me they said they could see I was a quiet and genuine person who had been pushed to their limits.
“They had six statements from X Factor staff, including security officers.
“They said it was not worth their time to investigate further and asked me to accept a caution which I have done.”
Zoe went on to explain that she had been wooed by X Factor staff for weeks, and said that she was coached for her audition before ever taking to the stage. She claims that she was ‘shocked’ by the producers actions and blasted:
“I am really shocked at the lengths they will go to to set people up for humiliation. When Gary Barlow told me I was just a Pink tribute act I was stunned – that’s exactly what the producers asked me to be.
“They mocked me and made fun out of what I do for a living.”

Zoe has to take responsbilty for her actions its about time she grew up and stop acting like a child or diva
Zoe has been jenuine frustrated, how would you feel if missed respected while chasing your lifetime dream? Zoe showed to be sensitive and beleived on what she was been asked for, she felt used. Would be just nice, some times, if X factor would shows a bit of touch on dealing with young artist feeling.., or the judges have forgotten how they were before they succeed?
BOLLOCKS!!So what if she was frustrated, she knew that she was on tv, she needs to reign that temper in of hers, and start taking responsiblity for her own actions. ALSO YOU SHOULD LEARN TO SPELL!
Hear, hear……what a horrible rude woman…..why an earth would you do or be like that on a tv programme that goes out to millions….unbelievable.
Apology for any spelling mistakes, I am Italian and been learning English only from few years. We all have opinions and we can agree or disagree with each other.
My view is just a try to understand a psicological and emotional point of view after read the full article.
Offcourse that is not a beaviour of an educated person fully in controll of her emotions and Zoe behaved just like Pink would behave in her videos, the impersonation with her character dictated hers behaviour.
