Fans of The X Factor will no doubt recall that singer Amy Mottram was ditched at the Judges’ Houses stage of last year’s series – by the now former judge Tulisa – much to the chagrin of thousands of fans…
However, it’s been reported today that Amy is back baby yeah, and attended auditions in Wembley this week.
Also this morning, it’s been claimed that newly returned judge Sharon Osbourne told X Factor mogul Simon Cowell that he should rehire her as she is “simply the best,” and so he did! More on that in a moment…
But first, of Amy’s second try-out for the show, The Sun’s TV Biz reports that she sang a rendition of I Know Where I’ve Been by Queen Latifah.
She told the judges, “I have been waiting a year to try again and the song tells my story.”
Amy got four ‘yeses’ from the judges and will therefore soon audition again in an arena before a live audience, as will crooner Terry Winstanley who similarly left the show before the live rounds, having made it to Louis Walsh’s Judges’ Houses in 2011.
In his audition this week, he sang Michael Bolton’s track When I’m Back On My Feet Again, prompting Nicole Scherzinger to tell him, “You sound like a million bucks.”
On now to Sharon Osbourne having told Simon that she’s “simply the best” and that report is also in The Sun where it’s revealed that Mrs O said, “I am the best — it is the truth.”
And of her talks with Simon about returning to X Factor, Sharon joked, “I said, ‘If I suck your d*** can I get the job?’ And he said, ‘Of course’. It was very simple.”
As to her former claim that Simon has “small penis syndrome,” Sharon said, “I only said that because he said he didn’t like working with me in his book.”
Dang I’m glad she’s back! Are you? Here’s a recent entertainment news report about Mrs O attending recent auditions…
