X Factor 2013 auditions kick off in Glasgow – Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow & Nicole Scherzinger make peace over dinner!
The X Factor judges reportedly held a special dinner in Glasgow last night, just hours before they kicked off this year’s first round of auditions for the ITV show.
Simon Cowell recently confirmed that Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh would all be returning to the panel for the 2013 series and that they would be joined by former judge Sharon Osbourne, who left the show after the 2007 run.
Shaz takes Tulisa’s seat at the table and while she has met all of the other celebs before and she’s even worked with two of them previously, insiders say the foursome broke the ice at a Glasgow restaurant last night.
A source told the Daily Star that the stars want to make this year’s series more fun, with less friction and explained:
“They wanted a pact to make this year’s XF about fun not fights. We don’t believe it will last beyond day one of auditions.”
How very pessimistic!
The auditions will be conducted very differently this year and today the judges will sit in a small room in Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel, and hopefuls will sing for them with no backing track and no audience.
Only the best of the bunch will progress to perform on stage in a large auditorium later in the summer.
Gary seems chuffed to be back to work on the talent show and he tweeted his fans this morning saying:
“Looking forward to our first day on Xfactor ! Beaudiful morning in Glasgow !”
A fan asked:
“@GaryBarlow are you excited to work with Sharon? X”.”
The dad of three replied:
Nicole Scehrzinger is raring to go too and tweeted:
“First day back at @TheXFactor can’t wait to see what you’ve got #Scotland!”
We just cannot wait to see the pictures!
