An ITV spokesperson has insisted that Tulisa Contostavlos has not been sacked from The X Factor…..yet!

It was reported yesterday that the N-Dubz singer has already been told that she won’t be completing the hat trick and appearing for a third year as a judge on the singing competition.

Insiders said that Simon Cowell was planning a massive shake up and either picking some brand new judges or bringing back some old familiar faces to replace Tulisa and possibly Take That’s Gary Barlow.

It’s thought the new lineup was part of a revamp, planned to boost ratings for the 2013 series, after last year’s attracted some of the lowest viewing figures the show has seen since it’s launch in 2004.

However, an X Factor spokesperson said that no form decisions, hirings or firings have been made yet, explaining:

“No formal decisions have been made about the panel for this year’s series of the X Factor as yet.”

Simon and his team have a little while longer to firm up their judging panel, after all judges auditions don’t start until May and last year it was the end of June before he choose Nicole Scherzinger as a mentor. Before that the fourth seat was filled by a series of guest judges, including Rita Ora and Leona Lewis.

We do know that someone is leaving the panel though, as Rita recently revealed that she was asked to join on a full time basis but turned down the offer last month, so she could concentrate on her music career.

Sharon Osbourne is one of the favourites to sign up and tweeted recently that she would jump at the chance to make an ITV comeback if Mr C would have her. She was later spotted having dinner with him and long serving panellist Louis Walsh and since she’s been replaced on America’s Got Talent by Mel B this week, she now has the time to do it.

Cheryl Cole is also a favourite for return and her Girls Aloud reunion tour would wrap up in time for her to take part. However, she has previously insisted that she is done with Si Co and his shows, after he sacked her from the US series in 2011.

What do you think of all the rumours? Should Tulisa go? Who should take her place? Leave your comments below….
