The route to the live shows draws tantalisingly closer for the remaining 24 X Factor contestants as they jet off to Judges’ Houses in a bid to land a coveted place in the final 12.
Offering a glimpse into the jet set lifestyle that the winner of the competition could have, the four categories travel to glamorous destinations across the world. With just one more chance to impress their mentor, each act will be hoping to convince them that they have the star quality required to reach the live shows.
With crucial decisions to be made, Nicole has help at hand from legendary diva Mary J Blige who knows all about what it takes to have a number one hit.
The 6 acts have successfully soared through closed room auditions, the arena auditions and the toughest Bootcamp in X Factor history, but now only Judges’ Houses stand between them and their dreams being achieved.
The 6 girls are revealed below:
OCCUPATION: Morrison’s sales assistant
Abi feels as though there are not a lot of opportunities in terms of music where she lives, and has been doing some gigs at local venues in preparation for her audition. She lives at home with both her mum and dad and says that her dad is her number one fan who takes her everywhere; he is her ‘best mate’. She works as a sales assistant in Morrison’s but finds it really ‘boring’. She wowed the judges and the arena audience with a self penned song about heartbreak.
ROOM SONG: Travelling Solider – Dixie Chicks
ARENA SONG: Jigsaw – original song
BOOTCAMP SONG: A Little Respect – Erasure
LOCATION: Gravesend, Kent
OCCUPATION: Starting college in September to study Musical Theatre
After originally being part of singing duo Silver Rock, the judges decided to split the two up and put both Tamera and Jerrie Dila in the girls’ category as they felt as though they had no chemistry together. The duo only met a short time prior to their audition and had only rehearsed twice together beforehand. During her room audition Tamera struggled to remember all the lyrics to the song but still managed to wow the judges with her vocal range. Tamera lives with her mum, step dad and two siblings. Her dream is to be an international pop star and tour the world.
ROOM SONG: End of Time – Beyonce (as part of Silver Rock)
ARENA SONG: I Have Nothing – Whitney Houston
BOOTCAMP SONG: Stay – Rhianna
This is Melanie’s fourth time auditioning for T X Factor. She first appeared on the show aged 14 in 2008 making it to Bootcamp. In 2011 she also made it through to Kelly Rowland’s Judges’ House but was unsuccessful and last year she got through to the Bootcamp stage of the competition. This year she is more ready than ever for the competition and she hopes that she will blow the judges away. Melanie lives at home with her recently divorced mum, however, they are soon to be moving in with her grandparents due to financial issues.
ROOM SONG: Diamonds – Rhianna
ARENA SONG: Titanium – David Guetta
BOOTCAMP SONG: The One that Got Away – Katy Perry

Music has always been close to Hannah’s heart after she lost her father when she was only 9 years old: he was her inspiration and initially got her into music introducing her to artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Lauren Hill and Anita Baker. For Hannah this competition is all about the music and soul, rather than the fame. She started singing in her local church and this is where people urged her to pursue a singing career as they all noticed her shining talent. Hannah wowed the judges with her emotional rendition of Emeli Sande’s Read All About It in her room audition. She currently lives in temporary accommodation for young adults as she did not have a good relationship with her mother when living at home.
ROOM SONG: Read all About it – Emeli Sande
ARENA SONG: One Night Only – Jennifer Hudson
BOOTCAMP SONG: I’d Rather Go Blind – Etta James

Back and ready to prove that she deserves a place in the competition after being unsuccessful at Judges’ Houses in 2011, Jade has been doing a series of charity gigs, as well as local ones in pubs, clubs and functions in attempt to build on her confidence. She is currently unemployed and lives at home with her mum, brother and two step brothers.

Relley has been singing since she could talk, and writing songs since the age of 12 when her nan bought her her first piano. She used to take part in talent competitions at school, and now she is gigging more than ever before. Her dream is to have her music heard all around the world and to make her dad proud. After getting 4 yeses in her room audition, Relley’s arena audition failed to live up to the promise although the judges gave her another chance putting her through to Bootcamp.
