The X Factor team are on the road again and this morning the crew hit Manchester for the third stop on their nationwide audition tour.
The judges have already visited Glasgow and Birmingham so far and seen around 100 hopefuls, who were desperate to make the next round and today they headed north to Gary Barlow’s homeland.
Gary, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh join Xtra Factor hosts Caroline Flack and Matt Richardson, along with main presenter Dermot O’Leary in their quest for talent and Barlow tweeted his fans bright and early this morning saying:
“Morning Manchester ! #XFactor”
Nicole was less than impressed with the typical English weather, but despite the clouds, the rain and the wind she’s hoping the singers can brighten her day and posted:
“It’s a rainy, grey day in Manchester, but bring on the sunshine, great talent and good energy @TheXFactor”
The official X Factor Twitter account shared:
“Manchester! Are you ready? The X Factor judges are on their way. #XFactor”
The judges will be working in a hotel for much of the afternoon and the hopefuls will perform acapella, with no backing track and no audience to help the along.
Only the best of the performers that really shine in the intimate tryouts will pass the stage and make it through to the London rounds which will see them singing again but this time for thousands of audience members in an arena setting.
Gary is hoping to find someone as talented as last year’s winner James Arthur and said:
“It’s great to be back for the 10-year anniversary of ‘X Factor’ and my third year with the show. This year is looking to be our best yet!
“To have a winner like James Arthur last year was a big game changer; I really hope that his authenticity and credibility will attract acts of a similar talent this series and I’m very excited about that.”
