Louis Walsh is in his element now that Sharon Osbourne is back on the X Factor judging panel.
The Irish star has been trying for five years to get his BFF to return to the ITV show and this year his wish came true as the music manager replaced Tulisa Contostavlos on the lineup.
Speaking at the second stage London auditions yesterday, Louis admitted that Shaz has brought back a great ‘energy’ to the series and he’s pretty excited to be working with the mum of three again. He said:
“Sharon Osbourne has brought back a new energy and she’s just brilliant. She’s fearless and she’s fun. She’s a great manager, so on the panel you have got two managers against two artists.”
Walsh adores Osbourne’s cheeky and outspoken nature and admitted that she’s already sworn at hopefuls more than once, saying:
“She tells people to ‘f**k off’. I love it! I love the way she tells it like it is.”
Yesterday saw the panel listening to the hopefuls perform for a second time, after previously auditioning singers in small hotel rooms up and down the country. Louis thinks it’s getting harder and harder to be on the show and speaking about the tenth series, he continued:
“It’s getting tougher every year. People want more and more from the show and I think that this year is going to be amazing. We have an amazing lineup and the four judges are getting on incredibly well.”
However, he hasn’t quite gotten over the loss of Tulisa just yet and he thinks she and Sharon would have made a great double act if she had stayed.
The former Westlife boss thinks the N Dubz star is similar to Kelly Osbourne and would have had Mrs O mothering her like nobody’s business and he said:
“I miss her, I love her. She is one of the nicest girls I know. Sharon and her would have been funny too. Tulisa always reminds me of Kelly Osbourne a little bit. I think Sharon would have mothered her a bit.”
