X Factor 2013: Rylan Clark and Caroline Flack tweet their joy over same-sex marriage bill!

As you may be aware, the House of Commons yesterday passed a bill that will see the issue of same-sex marriages moving to the House of Lords, which is the most positive sign to date of the support in government for gay marriages.

And yesterday, on hearing that the House of Commons vote ended at a whopping 400 for and just 175 against, X Factor star Rylan Clark tweeted, “Now whoever is in love with someone can show that love with marriage regardless of their sexuality. Finally x #EqualMarriage”

And Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack added, “About time too! A day in history #equalmarriage :)”

Entertainmentwise add that actress Elizabeth Hurley wrote, “Thank you to the clear majority of MPs who voted in support of Gay Marriage.”

Meanwhile, comedian Stephen Fry tweeted, “Whoop!!!!!! 400-175!!!! Now that’s a majority!! A great day in the slow but glorious history of British progress and fairness “

Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams remarked, “Thank you MPs for voting in support of Gay Marriage. You did the right thing.”

And Steps star Ian ‘H’ Watkins commented, “YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS #EqualMarriage !!! TAKE THAT BIGOTS !!”

The Only Way Is Essex star Harry Derbidge added, “I am a really nice person but 4/10 people will hate me because I am gay.

“I stand up for #GayMarriage we are all normal, nice and HUMAN! X”

And finally, former X Factor hopefuls Diva Fever wrote, “Gay Marriage in the UK passed by 400 MPs to 175.

“A momentous day for the gay community :) #equalmarriage.”
