X Factor 2013: Union J lads say of shamed judge Tulisa, “We’re here if she needs us”
Fans of The X Factor will of course know that former judge Tulisa has been embroiled in a drug scandal, and coming as it did in the wake of her being axed from X Factor, and splitting with her boyfriend Danny Simpson – and facing huge legal bills over her lawsuit against former boyfriend Justin Edwards – 2013 has arguably been her annus horribilis…
And while some of her friends may have scattered in the aftermath of her troubles, it seems she can rely on Union J band members George Shelley, Josh Cuthbert, JJ Hamblett and Jaymi Hensley, who’ve told OK! magazine, “She knows we all support her.”
JJ remarked, “We just wish her the best of luck,” and Josh added, “She knows we all support her, we wish her the best.
“It’s a shame what happened.”
But it seems they’re somewhat reluctant to contact Tulisa themselves to pass on those messages.
Jaymi said, “She doesn’t need people sending her pointless messages.
“If she needs us, we still love her. We’re not here to judge.”
Well of course, last year, Tulisa was, and apropos of the last series of X Factor, Josh remarked, “It was a good year [and] James Arthur’s album is really amazing.
“We’re obviously the first to release anything from last year’s series.
“I’m excited for James, and Ella Henderson and Jahmene Douglas – his album’s out.”
He added, “And [Lucy] Spraggan and Chris [Maloney].
“We’re the first year ever to have six of the main finalists signed to a major record label.”
Here’s a reminder of Union J on the show last year…
